AMPLIFIER & LOAD SWITCHING

The KHE ACS lets you instantly switch and play different amplifiers and load devices.
It works with any kind of mono amplifiers and load devices: Tube, Solid State, Class-D, Heads or Combos, Speaker Cabinets, Load Boxes and Power Attenuators. Inside the KHE, a massive relay matrix switches between amplifiers and load devices up to 150 watts. Load Resistors keep your precious tube amps 100% safe all the time and a clever switching logic ensures no amp can be activated if no load is enabled. The switching procedure is highly optimized for safe, fast and reliable switching without any clicks or pops, while the signal-path remains totally transparent without any additional noise or tone colouration.

The KHE ACS features a parallel Tuner Output which can be used to hook-up a tuner to the system or to record a parallel clean di-track in combination with a di-box, or to trigger a key input from a gate pedal in the fx-loops. Front- and back guitar inputs allow flexible connectivity, for example, a permanently connected reamping box to the rear-input.  All jacks are colour-coded for easy setup and wiring.

The KHE ACS-Series product line-up consists of 7 switcher models with different switching options.
All rack switchers can be linked & daisy-chained to expand the switching options. This allows to grow your amp collection and switching system over time, without the chance to out-grow your amp switcher.

The KHE is digitally controlled by a microcontroller. The signal switching is done by relays.

Inside the KHE, a relay matrix switches between amplifiers and load devices up to 150 watts. A microcontroller manages and supervises all switching operations and a clever switching logic ensures no amp can be activated if no load is enabled.

The switching procedure is highly optimized for safe, fast and reliable switching without any clicks or pops. A special mute circuit removes all switching noises - Switching between amps or loads is more silent than most amps channel switching! The signal-path is totally transparent without any additional noise or tone coloration.

To make the KHE as safe as possible, it has a number of safety features:

Load Resistors - All amps are connected to a dummy load resistor. This protects the amps from a 'no load' scenario. All unused amps are muted at the inputs, so no signals can reach the amp.

Load Detection - The cabinet outputs of the KHE are supervised for a speaker cabinet or load box. Unused cabinet jacks are automatically excluded and locked from the switching operation, so amps can NEVER be switched to an unused cabinet jack.

No Load? No Amp! A clever digital switching logic makes sure no invalid combination is possible: If no load is activated, you can not enable an amplifier. This makes the KHE 'fool proof' to operate and protects from user errors.

The KHE ACS is built in Switzerland, using highest quality parts and construction, such as high-quality toggle switches, AMPHENOL jacks, OMRON relays, in a robust 19" 1u steel enclosure.

All KHE rack switchers can be linked and daisy-chained to expand the switching options.
